The Three Amigos

Sorry for not posting in a while... we have just been on cruise control in the Leach home. Gavin is doing great in school and Ryan is loving his new job...did I forget to mention Ryan's new job? Oops!

Ryan accepted a position on the Internet Team at AAA. It's a change for him... being that his past jobs had been in "start-up" companies with 75% stability... but a GOOD change. I can tell that personally he's happier too, which is fantastic! It's so hard to watch someone you love struggle and stress... a happier Daddy, makes for a happier family!

Gavin is signed up for soccer and will start in November. We bought him a soccer ball and have been playing with him in the yard. I think he's going to have a blast! Two of his friends (Preston & Wyatt) will also be playing with him... so of course, we'll have some hilarious storied and pictures to share!

Last week, Shannon invited Gavin and I, and Jan and Preston to their Oak Hill House for a mini getaway... just mommies and kiddos. We left after school on Monday... BIG mistake! Three 3 year olds in my car, so excited and NO NAPPING... Gavin did fade off when we were about 20 minutes away from the house, but Preston & Wyatt didn't close their eyes ONCE! We got there and tried to get the kids to nap... but they weren't having it! At one point, we had all three of them in the same room together and had the baby monitor on and it sounded like a 4am dance party! When we peeked in the boys had taken the mattress off the bed and made a slide (I KNOW!) and created their very own bounce house with the inflatable mattress on the floor. It was WILD!! So.. we got them rounded up, hoped in the "tractor" (golf cart... Tractor in Gavin world) and headed to the dock to look for shells and crabs!

The boys had a blast. They played SO well together... the three amigos !

That night, we attempted to get the boys down at a decent hour... but the two "club closers" (Gavin & Wyatt) were party animals and at one point, I went into the room and Gavin was ready for wind number 18 and Wyatt was ready to pass out... they were down for the count by 10pm. Not too bad.

Of course... three mommies and three kiddies head off to the coast with NO idea what the weather is going to do... the next day we had hoped for some beach time, but it was a cloudy rainy day. So we headed over to the Bevard Zoo... about an hour drive. Gavin napped, P and W did not.

We got there and headed right to the giraffes. It was awesome.. there was the big guy there... we could feed him! It was so cool!!

Of course, right after this... it started to rain!! We ran and got back into the car and headed back to Orlando. Preston and Wyatt passed out and Gavin rocking out on the Backyardigans Guitar.

It was a great trip... and I hope we can do it again soon!!
